Here we are, weeks into the New Year and well on our way to making our resolutions part of our everyday life. Setting a New Year’s resolution can be an excellent springboard for accomplishing those life altering goals that we have been wanting to achieve! Whether you would like to become more organized, lose a few extra pounds, or find that dream job, a fresh start to a new year is the best time to start working!

With the New Year in sight, I decided to take a preemptive approach to my New Year’s resolution. Back in December of 2012, I set a goal: My goal was to lose forty pounds by the time I turn 40 in April of 2013. Convinced that I would succeed, I developed a Facebook page, 40 by 40.” My mission is to lose approximately 2.4 pounds a week over 17 weeks, in order to hit my weight loss goal by the time I hit the tender young age of 40.

As of today, I am at the six week point. I am not on schedule by any means (I am tracking my progress by my cool charts and graphs); however, I am learning greater lessons which I am going to share with you to help beat the odds and accomplish your goals! Through my blogs and Facebook page I plan on sharing my progress – not only in losing some weight which was the primary goal – but more importantly, sharing valuable life lessons which come from setting goals and working diligently toward them. This is a living and breathing project…one that I am excited to share and learn from as well as inspire others with!

Welcome to my journey to forty by forty!
